This turkey hat craft is fun and simple to make with just a few craft items.
Should take less than an hour to complete.
Small Hat
Scrap of Red Felt
Glue
Wiggle Eyes (2)
Foil (12" wide roll)
Markers
1 Brass Paper Fastener
Assembly Instructions
Cut three pieces of foil 4" x 12".
Use markers to color two of the pieces with stripes. You can make the stripes wide or narrow.
Color the third piece of foil a solid color.
Set pieces aside to dry
Cut piece of red felt into an oblong shape to form the wattle of the turkey.
Push the brass fastener through the top of the piece of felt. You may need to punch a hole in the felt first using a pen.
Push the fastener into the top of the hat. Turn the hat over and bend the prongs open.
Glue wiggle eyes into place.
Fold the two striped pieces of foil in an accordian fashion. Glue each piece to the hat along the rim starting at the top center and working downward.
Take the third piece of foil and fold the long edges over just a touch. Then crunch the pieces up. Squishing the long ends towards each other.
Glue this over the top of the fanned out pieces.
You now have a cute and unique turkey hat to display at Thanksgiving dinner.
