St Patricks Day Kids CraftsSt Patricks Day Kids Crafts: Making clovers from a heart shaped stamp.
St Patricks Day Crafts Supplies NeededA Heart Shaped StampGreen Tempra Paint Paint Brush Paper
Using a glue gun I attached the orange rectangle to the heart to use as a handle. You can also make heart shapes using a potato, sponge or even styrofoam.
Rub the stamp into the paint making sure to coat it well. If you have too much paint on the stamp you can rub some off either in the container or on a piece of scrap paper.
This forms the first heart shaped part of your clover. Raise the stamp straight up, trying not to move it while lifting. If the stamp didn't transfer the paint well enough, you can carefully lower the stamp back over the same spot.
Place your second heart so that the point of the heart is almost touching the point of the first shape. Think of the first heart as being at the 12 oclock position on a clock and the second heart being at the 9 oclock position.
Place this heart shape so that the points are touching. This heart would be in the three oclock position on a clock. Almost done, just one more easy step.
Dip a paint brush into the green paint. Place the brush in the center of the clover where the points of the heart all meet. Using a sweeping motion, make the stem.
Use your clovers to decorate greeting cards, wrapping paper, or just to hang on the fridge.
