Poker Cake
Decorating Instructions
Cut up and deal: a tasty treat with this Poker Cake.

If I were to make this cake over again, I would put more green tinting into the frosting.
The table wasn't as rich in color as I would have liked.
Poker Cake Instructions
Use a 13 x 9 inch rectangular cake pan and leave the cake square or round off the corners like the one in the picture to give it a more realistic table shape.

Bake cake mix according to instructions on the box.
It takes two boxes in a 13x9 in pan to make a thick cake!
Tint your frosting using green food coloring or use chocolate frosting if you are used to playing on a brown table!
I made the cards and the chips for this cake out of icing and then hand painted the numbers and suits onto them using food coloring; they took forever to dry enough to place them onto the cake! A better idea would be to buy hard sugar candies already made and just place them onto the top! You can use round mints or candies as the chips!
Fun Poker Cake Accessories

These edible hard sugar decorations are a breeze to use for decorating your cake. Just peel off the piece of candy and place it into your frosting.

The quickest and easiest way to decorate your cakes is with a decal. This is completely edible and makes your cake look like it was bought from the bakery.

You'll have fun with the giant set of dice which can be used as a small end table to hold drinks. The dollar sign decorations would be fun to hang from the ceiling.
