Mylar Balloon Floating Time
Mylar balloons are also called foil balloons.Typical float time is 5-7 days.
Temperature, altitude, size and designs on the balloon all affect the float time.
High Altitude:
If you live in high altitude you will have better luck floating a mylar balloon that is larger than 18 inches. It will also float better if it is round rather than shaped.
Temperature
In cold temperatures helium balloons struggle to float. Warm them up and they perk right up.

Laytex balloons are your typical easy to find, inexpensive balloons made of rubber compounds.Laytex balloons filled with helium float an average of 10 hours.
You can increase your party balloon float time with a product called Hi-Float. You squirt a drop into the balloon before filling with helium.
The float time when using Hi-Float is on average 4-10 days!
