Mylar Balloons
Balloons add color, fun and excitement to any party

Mylar balloons come in all shapes and sizes. The typical style of this balloon is round and approximately 18" in diameter.
Balloon Facts
Mylar or foil balloons are popular to include with gifts.
Balloon gift arrangements typically have one foil balloon and several laytex balloons in them.
Mylar balloons are made from a foil material that isn't very porus so they tend to hold helium longer than the laytex balloons do.
That is the reason they are a little more expensive than laytex balloons.
You can expect a freshly filled balloon to float for approximately 2-3 weeks.
Foil balloons manufactured today have self-sealing valves.
The valve automatically seals the balloon as soon as it is removed from the inflator.
Balloons with self-sealing valves can topped off with more helium if needed.
All helium filled balloons should be weighted down. You can use any heavy item as a weight. My favorite items to use are coffee mugs filled with goodies, small gift bags filled to the brim with candy and small boxes filled with novely items.
Fun Facts:
The ink used in the designs of foil balloons add to the weight of the balloon and can effect the float time and ability.
If your new helium filled mylar balloon seems to deflate when you take it outside, its probably due to the cool air. Take it into a warm room and it should perk up.
