Heart Cookie Recipe

This heart cookie recipe is really peanut butter cookies in disguise.

heart shaped cookies

Show your sweethearts how much you care by baking up a batch of Valentine cookies for them.

Peanut Butter Heart Cookies

2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 Cup Butter, room temperature
3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Preheat oven to 375.

Beat together the butter, peanut butter and sugars until well mixed and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Mix in the baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Gradually stir in the flour mixture.

Drop cookies by the spoonful onto greased cookie sheets.
Press the cookies flat using your hand or a dinner fork dipped in water to create hatch marks.
Bake until golden, about 10-12 minutes.
Immediately remove from the oven and cut the heart shape using a cookie cutter.

You can also use a cookie cutter as a mold when placing the cookies onto the baking sheets, but I found it easier to shape them after baking.

Creating Valentine Recipes From Everyday Cookie Recipes

Creating Valentine cookies out of regular cookies is fun and easy. These peanut butter cookies are great anytime, but even better when shaped into hearts.

Frosted Peanut Butter Cookies

Frost the cookies with pink or white icing and add red hots, sprinkles or conversation hearts to them.

Chocolate Lover Cookies

Use peanut butter to glue chocolate chips to the outer edge of the cookies.

This peanut butter cookie recipe can easily be adapted for other holidays during the year.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Are You Ready?

Roses have been used
to symbolise love
and passion for ages.
But the tradition of
color symbolism doesn't
stop there.
There is also
symbolism attached to
how many roses
are sent!

Single Rose

Is used as
a matter of fact
type message.
It means:
I love you.

One Dozen Roses

Twelve roses means
I truly love
and care about you.

Two Dozen Roses

It represents excess.
But be careful
sending two dozen
can raise questions!

Petite Roses

Known as
sweetheart roses
they are perfect
for budding romances.

Is your sweetheart
allergic to flowers?

Try sending
a gift basket
instead.
