Eyeball Sugar Cookie

  • red icing
  • Note: You can substitute refrigerated sugar cookie dough for the sugar cookie recipe listed above.

Roll sugar cookie dough into 1" round balls.
Place 2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.

Press a round candy into the center of the cookie dough.
Bake for 8-10 minutes in a preheated 375 degree oven.

When cookies have cooled, add red icing lines from the center downward to resemble veins.

Makes 2 dozen eyeball Halloween cookies.

Halloween Finger Cookie

Halloween finger cookie

  • sugar cookie recipe
  • green food coloring
  • almond slices
  • Note: You can use dough from store bought refrigerated sugar cookies.

Place cookie dough into a bowl and add a few drops of green food coloring. Mix dough thoroughly, adding more coloring as needed to create a nice green color.

Roll cookie dough into log shapes approximately 3 inches long.
Place onto lightly greased cookie sheets.

Press an almond into the end of the log to resemble a fingernail.
Using a sharp knife, score the log right behind the almond and futher back to resemble knuckle lines.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen Halloween sugar cookies.

Brainy Halloween Sugar Cookies

Halloween brain cookie

  • sugar cookie recipe
  • red or pink gel icing
  • clean paint or pastry brush
  • garlic press
  • Note: You can use refrigerated sugar cookie dough.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lightly grease your cookie sheet.

Open the garlic press and fill with cookie dough. Press strands of the dough right onto the cookie sheet. You'll need to fill the garlic press two or three times for each brain cookie you're making.

You can squeeze the front of the cookie to make it more pointed than the back end but don't squeeze too much, you want the keep as much of the stringy texture as possible.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Let cool completely before icing the cookies.

Squeeze some of the gel icing into a small bowl, add a little water until the icing is the consistancy of milk. Brush a coating of the diluted icing over the entire top of the cookie.

Makes 2 dozen Halloween sugar cookies.
