Blend together sugar and butter.
Add the eggs, vanilla and 1 cup of the flour. Mix well.
Fold in the remaining flour, baking soda and baking powder. Refrigerate for an hour or two.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease the cookie sheets.
On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to 1/8" thickness.
Cut out shapes using Halloween cookie cutters.
Place cookies onto greased baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from sheets and cool before decorating.

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Lightly grease your cookie sheet.
Mix butter and vanilla in a large bowl until fluffy.
Add sugar and mix at medium speed until well blended.
Combine flour and salt in a small bowl. Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture.
Form dough into small balls and place onto cookie sheet. Flatten the balls with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 10-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool completely on cookie sheets before decorating.
Makes 1 dozen sugar cookies.

Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix well.
Form mixture into 1" eyeballs.
Refrigerate for one hour.
Melt the candies according to package directions.
Poke a toothpick into the eyeball and dip into the melted candy, leaving an uncovered spot at the top.
Place dipped eyeballs onto a waxed paper covered cookie sheet and press a red candy into the uncoated area. Allow coating to harden before serving.
