Firefighter Birthday Invitations

Use red construction paper to cut out shape of a firefighters' hat, place the party information on the back side.

Other shapes you can use are a fire hydrant, a fire truck, a firemans' badge or even a dalmation dog.

Coloring books or childrens story books are great to use for making patterns for your invitations.

Fireman Birthday Decorations

Decorate the party area with red and orange balloons and streamers. A red or yellow table cover on the table along with bright yellow and red party ware.

Hang firefighter hats on the back of each chair, if they can't hang on a chair, you can set them in a row on a coffee table.

Place a toy fire truck or two in the center of the table and surround it with short pieces of curling ribbon.

Create a house using a cereal or tissue box, leave the top open so you can fill it with party favors, one per child. Each of the party favors you put into the box should have a piece of string attached to it. One end tied to the toy and the other end near a place setting. When the toddlers sit down for cake, they can each rescue their toy from the house.

Fire fighter Birthday Party Games and Activities

Stomp The Fire

Supplies needed: two inflated balloons per player, permanent marker, queen or king size sheet, masking tape.

Write each toddlers' name on two balloons using the marker.
Stretch the sheet out on the floor and secure three sides of it using masking tape. Tuck all the balloons under the sheet and secure the fourth side to the floor.
Make sure the balloons are spread out under the sheet.
Line the children up around the outside edge of the sheet and tell them to stomp out the fires until one balloon remains.

Uncover the one remaining balloon and give that player a prize.

Bucket Brigade Race

Supplies needed: paper cups, four buckets, two inflated balloons and water.

Fill two buckets with equal amounts of water and set them at one side of the yard along with the paper cups.
Divide the party guests into two teams and have them line up facing the water filled bucket. Place a balloon in each of the empty buckets and place it near the last players in line.
On "go" the player closest to the water filled bucket grabs a paper cup and quickly fills it with water and hands it to the player behind them. The cup continues down the line until the last player dumps the remaining content into the empty bucket. When the first player hands off a cup of water they should immediately begin filling and handing off another cup. The first team to fill the bucket with enough water to make the balloon flow over the edge, wins the game.
