Farm Party Decorations

Plastic toy animals and pictures of animals can be used as farm theme decorations. Cut out cowboy boot shapes to use as wall decorations.

For fun, instead of having chairs for everyone to sit on, set bales of straw around a table and have guests sit on those.

Tie several bandannas together and use them to adorn doorways instead of crepe paper and streamers.

Farm Theme Party Games and Activities

Duck Duck Goose

The toddlers sit in a circle. One child walks around the circle while tapping each person on the head and saying "duck".

After a while the child taps a player on the head and calls "goose."

The goose jumps up and chases "it" around the circle trying to catch her before she can sit down in the empty space the goose was sitting in.

If "it" reaches the space first, the goose becomes "it" and a new round is played. If the goose tags "it" that same toddler is "it" again.

Milk The Cow

Supplies needed per child: Uninflated balloon and a small cup. You'll also need a straight pin and some masking tape.

Fill each balloon with equal amounts of water. Secure each with a knot so the water doesn't leak out. Poke a straight pin into the bottom of each balloon and cover the hole with masking tape.

Have the toddlers line up in a row and place a small cup at their feet. Hand each child a water filled balloon.

On "go" each child pulls the tape off the balloon and milks it allowing the water to fill the small cup. The first child to fill the cup wins a prize.

A round cake can be turned into a tractor tire. Bake two round 8" cakes according to package instructions. Frost the middle area of the cake with yellow frosting and the outer inch and sides with black frosting. Add tire grooves to the side of the cake using a butter knife.
