To create your fall wreath you will need a few craft supplies, most you probably have around the house.
Wreath
Leaves
Glue Gun
Scissors
Laquer (optional)
Decorations (optional)
If you use real leaves on your holiday wreath, you may want to spray the front and back of the leaves with laquer a few days ahead of time. The laquer helps keep them from drying out too quickly.
1. Wrap several leaves around the base so that the wreath material is no longer showing. Glue into postition.
2. Pick a starting point and the wreath and start gluing the leaves in place around the wreath so that all the leaf tips are aimed in the same general direction.
3. Continue adding leaves until your wreath has a nice shape to it.
4. Glue pinecones, colorful seed pods, or Thanksgiving decorations to your wreath.
5. Add a bow and enjoy your wreath.
Here is a example of a finished Thanksgiving wreath.
Do not use laquer on leaves that will be near flames!
Once you've glued enough leaves to your wreath to fill it out nicely, place the wreath on top of an 8-inch cake pan.
Set three candles in the center of the wreath so that they are sitting inside the cake pan.
You can fill the centerpiece wreath with nuts, small wrapped candies or Thanksgiving flowers.
