Dinosaur Party Invitations:

The invitations for your Dinosaur Party can be a small toy dinosaur that you attach the party information to.

Draw pictures of dinosaur eggs and put party information on the back side.

For a more realistic effect use real egg shells. Save some the next time you make a cake or cook breakfast. Clean with soapy water and allow to dry. Place a small toy dinosaur and the party information inside the egg shell and glue or tape back together.

Ask your guests to wear old play clothes to the party.

Dinosaur Party Decorations:

Hang green vines in the party area. Don't have any green vines laying around? Use green twine (spray green if necessary) or dark green yarn then staple green leaves every few feet along the twine.

Place a grouping of rocks in one corner of the room and place play sand around the front of the rocks. Use a sheet of clear plastic under the rocks and sand to keep your floors safe.
If you don't have any decent size rocks that you want to carry into the house you can make a few. Use an empty box and fill to overflowing with balled up newspaper. Drape grey fabric over the top of the newpapers.

You can get a really nice pre-historic effect if you place a palm tree behind the rocks.

Sprinkle the cake table with sand making a few small hills near the center and place place plastic dinosaurs into the sand.

Cover the walls in the party area with brown wrapping paper. Draw a few cave symbol on it and during the party let the kids draw some of their own.

Dinosaur Party Box is a handy way to purchase your dinosaur party supplies. Each box contains plates, napkins, utensils and more.

Dinosaur Party Activities:

Dino Dig:
Fill a small child's size pool with sand and bury dinosaurs, dog biscuits (dinosaur bones) and other small toys in it. You can use a smaller container if you have fewer kids at the party.

Dinosaur Hunt:
Hide a bunch of toy dinosaurs throughout a room or even outdoors and let the kids find them. You can vary the size of the dinosaurs and give prized to those that find the largest and/or the smallest. To add more fun to the hunt have everyone put on a Pith helmet and put on a set of binoculars. Take action videos of the hunt or have a group picture with the hunters and their captured dinosaurs after the hunt.
