Dinosaur Birthday Party Invitations

Gather some small dinosaur toys and attach a note to them with the party information on it. Mail in a small box or hand them out individually.

Make copies of dinosaur pictures from a coloring book or story book and put your party information on the back. Let the guests color in the pictures to receive a prize when they bring it to the party. Make sure everyone gets a small toy or sticker.

Dinosaur Party Decorations

To set up a room to look prehistoric, rent or borrow large fig trees, palms and other tropical green plants. Set them around the room. If you have a couch in the room you can cover it with a brown tarp or grey sheets to make it look more like a huge rock. Do the same with any chairs in the room.

Cover any bookcases or other furniture with brown fabric or brown postal paper.

Gather some clean boulders and rocks to set around the room along with any of your childs' toy dinosaurs.

Ask your butcher for some clean bones to use for decoration. If you have a dog, you'll need to keep him out of the room while the party is going on but afterwards he'll be a happy puppy!.

Dinosaur Birthday Party Activities

Dinosaur Pass
Children sit in a circle on the floor. Play some music in the background. Give one child a toy or stuffed dinosaur and instruct them to pass it around the circle. Stop the music every so often and whomever is holding the dinosaur has to leave the circle. As they leave the circle they get to pick a toy from a bucket. Play continues until there is one person left in the circle. Make sure everyone gets a toy from the bucket.

Build a Dinosaur
Give everyone a supply of play dough and let them sculpt a dinosaur. Give prizes for the best, funniest and the most creative design. Have a couple of toy ones sitting on the table so they can copy from them. Also you might want to make one to give them an idea of how to shape one.
