Invitations:
Cut a square piece of white or pastel paper in half on the diagonal to create two triangles.
Lay the triangle with the point facing you and the long edge away from you.
Fold the two ends of the long edge in towards the center overlapping just a touch. Fold the pointed section closest to you up over the lapping pieces.
You should now have a diaper shaped invitation!
Let the diaper unfold so that you can write the shower information inside. Once you have the information written, close the diaper back up and seal it with a sticker.
Decorations:
Fold napkins using the folding technique used for making the invitations.
A diaper cake makes a great centerpiece for the table and a very useful gift for the expectant parents.
Games and Activities:
Use diapers or the word diaper for your games.
Diapering Race
How quickly can you diaper the baby? Use a life sized baby doll or a Teddy bear. Time each guest.
Diaper Word Scramble
How many words can you spell using the word Diaper?
Invitations:
Use blue stationary paper for boy babies, pink for girls. If you don't know the gender combine the two colors.
Decorate the front with stickers of baby items.
Decorations:
Pink or blue table covers with white serving platters. Layer the table coverings to use both colors.
Balloons are a nice addition to the party and are a great way to add a splash of color without spending a fortune.
Games and Activities:
Use blue pencils or pens for writing activities if the party is for a boy, pink if it's for a girl.
Clothespin Toss
Set an open diaper pail in the middle of the room. How many clothespins can you get into the pail? Give the diaper pail to the guest of honor at the end of the party.
Create invitations by using stickers of those items on the front of stationary.
Decorations can be balloons and cut outs of the baby items.
Bottles can be filled with candy, cotton balls, flowers or money and given to the guest of honor.
I hope you enjoyed the Classic Baby Shower Themes and take some time to enjoy the party.
