Circus Party
There were days while my children were growing up that I felt like there was a Circus Party going on, even though it wasn't anyone's birthday!

Combine the circus aspect of the party with a summer fair setup and you are sure to have a great time.
Party Invitations
Here are two party invitations that I made.

The invitation on the left is made with stickers. You can't get much easier than that!.
The one on the right was drawn with markers.
Make Your Own Invitations is a page of helpful tips and hints on how to come up with ideas for theme invitations.
Circus Party Decorations

Ok, I'm not Picasso, I take lousy pictures, but I can sure have fun with the decorations and presents!
This clown is actually a playground ball that I was giving as a present.
The ball is wrapped in gift paper.
Balloons:
Using balloons and streamers is an inexpensive way to brighten up a whole house.
There were times when I put ballons on everything that didn't move.

Circus Party Activities
Clown Toss: The picture at the beginning of this page shows a clown toss game. You can make one easily with cardboard and some paint. Use balled up socks instead of bean bags.
Set your yard up like a small county fair (minus the ferris wheel). Have different areas set up with games young children can play and have them go from booth to booth.
A fishing pond, a ring toss game and a face painting area would be all you need to set up for a small party!
Party Food and Drinks:
Serve items that you would normally find at a circus.
Hot Dogs or Corn Dogs: A sure hit at any childs party and easy on the pocketbook. You can make pigs in a blanket if you want the hot dogs to be a little fancy.
Clown Cones: A scoop of ice cream placed on a plate with a sugar cone on top as a hat. You can use raisins for the eyes and a cherry for the clowns nose.
