Casino Cake

Gather your friends for a game of Texas Hold-em Poker and serve this fun Casino Cake. You can easily make a whole deck of these cakes.

Pick your favorite cards or your favorite numbers and make cakes to match.
For fun you could use birthday numbers. Say your friend is 25, make one card with a two and the other with a five.

Cake Instructions:

A 13 x 9 rectangular cake pan, a couple boxes of cake mix, some frosting and imagination are all you need for making these cards.

Bake your cake according to directions on the cake box.
You will need two boxes to make the 13x9 cake as one box makes the cake very thin!
Let cool.
Cut the cake in half making two cards.
Frost with white icing.
Draw the suit and numbers on the card using writing gel.
Lay one cake slightly over the top of the other to display and serve.

Make your own cake board using a piece of thick carboard cut slightly larger than the cake.
Cover the carboard with white or decorative wrapping paper.

Instead of a cake you can make cupcakes and decorate them card suit candies.
The party works carries card suits in sugar candy decorations that you can just stick to the top of your cupcakes or cake.
