Barnyard Decorations

Pull out all of the stuffed animals you can find and decorate the room with them. Add party hats and balloons to each animal for a more festive look.

If you are holding the party outdoors you can place a few bales of straw around the kids party area. They will love crawling onto them.

Provide each guest with a cowboy hat that they can take home as a party favor. They'll get a kick out of wearing them during the party.

Barnyard Activities

Play guess the animal: You make the sound of various farm animal and the kids have to guess what you are.

Duck Walk: everyone squats down and walks like a duck, quacking is required!

Set up a small duck prize pond and let the kids each win a prize.

Get large appliance boxes from your local retailer and paint them red to create a barn. Cut squares out of the sides for windows. Let the kids decorate the boxes with crayons, stickers and chalk.

Barnyard Party Food and Drinks

Frost a cake and march animal crackers around the bottom of it.

Frost a rectangular cake and place this edible farm image onto it. The image is easy to use and creates a store bought cake look.

Have fish crackers and animal crackers for your guests to nibble on.
