Colorful Balloon PartyA balloon party is fun, inexpensive and colorful.
This party can be put together easily with some basic party supplies.Use your childs favorite color for all the balloons and decor or use a variety of colors. Plan on just a few activities for a first birthday and don't try to enforce the rules strictly. Start an activity to get it going in the planned direction, but let it unfold naturally. You will all be happier in the end.
Party Invitation IdeasBlow up a balloon but don't tie it. Write the party information onto it using markers, let it dry and then deflate. Mail the balloon in a padded envelope with instructions to inflate for a special surprise.Cut out 4 or 5 inch balloon shapes from colorful posterboard. Decorate one side with glitter, stickers or markers. Put your party information on the other side
Party Decorations:A balloon party calls for balloon styled hats! Use twisting balloons to make each guest a party hat.Crepe paper and curling ribbon can be hung from the ceiling, light fixtures, back of chairs and on the edges of the cake table. Use the posterboard to make large 12 inch sized or larger balloons. Cut out the shapes and tape to walls and doors.
