You can use orange and black helium filled balloons singles or tie in groups of three or more.
Hang crepe paper strips from the ceiling and in doorways.
If you are using a movie theme turn the room into a replica of one you see in the movie.
Use can use brown craft paper or even the back of inexpensive wrapping paper to draw room scenes on and then hang them in your room.

When planning your food tables:
For a large group, put your food on one table and your drinks on another.
If you are having a sit down adult Halloween party you would put them together on the main table.
On your food table use simple risers to give the table height, a pot or pan covered with a cloth serves this purpose nicely!.
Sprinkle toy spiders, confetti or little pumpkins around the tables for a festive look.
Monster Eyes:
A Package of frozen meatballs and two large jars of brown gravy.
Put all ingredients into a crock pot and cook on low for an hour, then simmer throughout the evening.
Floating Fingers:
Rinse out a new latex glove. Fill just the finger part with red juice and freeze overnight. Peel the glove away from the fingers and place into your punch. You could also put the fingers into individual glasses as you serve your guests.
Orange Treats:
One orange per guest. Cut the top off the oranges and hollow out the insides. Rinse and pat dry. Draw a pumpkin face on the orange using a permanent marker. Fill each orange with sherbet ice cream and put into the freezer. Just before serving place a half stick of cinnamon and a mint leaf on the sherbet.
