Train Invitations

Here are a few train invitations that I made with materials from around the house. The first two are done with train stickers and markers. The last one didn't turn out as nice as I wanted it to, but it worked well enough to let people know that we were having a train birthday party for my son.

Train Party Games and Activities

All Aboard Race
Provide each toddler with an appliance box with the top and bottom cut off. Let them decorate their "train car" using markers and stickers. When all the cars are decorated call for all toddlers to board their train. Holding up their train cars with their hands, race around the party area.

Train Toss
Decorate a large appliance box to look like a train. Fold the top flaps in so there is a nice sized opening. Place a basket filled with air inflated balloons a few feet from the train. Each child gets to try and toss three balloons into the train car.

Train Theme Birthday Cake

A bright colorful train birthday cake that you can make at home.

Thomas & Friends Cake Topper

Bake a rectangular cake and frost it anyway you like, you don't have to make it look just like this cake but you can!

The Thomas cake topper comes with a 3½ inch long Thomas train, a carnival background and 2 fun train shaped rings.

The tracks were piped onto the cake top using a pastry bag. You could use a plastic bag with a small hole cut into the bottom corner to pipe your frosting onto the cake! Place a small toy train on the tracks and you have a fun train birthday party cake.
