Tea Party Invitations

A fun tea party invitation would be to take a small plastic tea cup and write the party information on the outside using a permanent marker.

Cut tea pot shapes from pink construction paper and decorate the front with glitter and stickers.

Tea Party Decorations

Decorate a table with a pink or white table cover. Set out tea cups, plates, napkins and utensils.
The center of the table can contain an array of tiny sandwiches. A fun centerpiece would be to take some Barbie accessories and use them to set up a mini tea party scene.

Pink balloons and streamers scattered around the party area and pink and white carnations in vases to add a finishing touch.

Tea Party Games and Activities

Games for tea parties should be short, yet still fun. You want to spend plenty of time at the table enjoying tea and chatting.

Tea Cup Relay

Supplies needed:Two boxes fill with inflated balloons and two tea cups.

Mark a starting line using string or tape. Set the two boxes filled with balloons a few feet from the starting line.
Divide toddlers into two groups. Stand everyone behind the starting line and hand the first person in line a tea cup.
On "go" the first person in line races to the box, puts a balloon in the tea cup and walks quickly back to the starting line. The first team to have everyone bring a balloon back to the start, wins.
Any balloons dropped must be picked up and placed back into the cup before moving forward. If a balloon pops, the player must go back to the box and get a new one. No hands can be used on the balloon once its been place in the cup.

Have everyone sing the tea pot song while going through the body motions.
I'm A Little Tea Pot Song
I'm a little tea pot
Short and stout
Here is my handle (put hand on hip)
Here is my spout (put other arm out with hand bent down)
When I get all steamed up
Hear me shout
Tip me over and pour me out (lean body over at waist).
