Wiggles and Giggles Invitation Ideas

Take a picture of your child laughing and use a graphics program to create your invitation. Microsoft Office has templates that you can use for putting together the invitations.

Buy store bought blank cards and paste printed pictures to the front of them.

Cut out the numeral one from colorful heavy card stock, write the party information on the backside.

You'll want to plan activities that encourage laughing. You don't need complicated games for this age group.

Blowing bubbles is a fun and easy activity for parents and child to share together.

Bouncing balls and floating balloons are also fun. Sit in a circle with the other parents and bounce and roll the ball back and forth.

Tickle Me Elmo is an amazing toy that brings smiles to kids of all ages. (I loved watching him roll around laughing.) Borrow one from a friend if you have to. Sit all the kids into a circle on their parents laps. Set Elmo in the middle and push his tummy. Once he starts doing his act the kids will giggle and wiggle to get to him.

1st birthday cake design

You can get away with a simple cake design for this age group. Some parent make a fancy cake for the adults to eat and let children eat cupcakes.

Smiley Cake: Bake a round cake, frost with yellow frosting and add eyes and a smile to it.

Bake a round cake and just add a numeral one candle onto the top of it.
