Invitation Ideas

Make your own sixties invitations with peace sign stickers and floral stickers.

Make tie dyed invitations: Fill a shallow pan with water. Drip brightly colored paints onto the surface of the water and mix a touch with a tooth pick. Gently set the cardstock onto the surface of the water and pull up quickly. The paint will adhere to the card. Allow to dry completely before adding your party information to them.

You could also send personalized retro buttons they are unique.

Party Atmosphere

Ask your guests to dress the part. Everyone should come in their version of sixties attire.

Then play a snippet from a popular song. If a group guesses correctly they get a point. If they get the answer wrong, take away a point. First group to 10 wins a prize.

Food and Drinks

Serve fresh salad. Include edible flowers in the salad or as a garnish on the plate.
Finger foods and easy to grasp items like chicken wings or sandwhiches would be fine.

Beer or wine for those that indulge and water for those that don't.

Decorate a cake with edible flowers.

Make a peace sign on top of a round cake.

Decorate cupcakes with yellow frosting and put smile faces on them.
